Close to one half approve of the Liberal government’s original plan to go into deficit for three years before balancing the budget in the final year of their mandate (48%).
As many as 7-in-10 approve of the Supreme Court ruling making assisted dying legal (70%).
More than a third favour the introduction of a guaranteed annual minimum income to replace other state supports like social assistance, unemployment and pensions (36%).
Close to 6-in-10 approve of legalized marijuana or cannabis (56%) and this is similar to national rates of approval noted recently (November 4, national sample - 59%).
One fifth have used marijuana or cannabis in the past year (19%) and one quarter will use it in the future once it is legal (24%).
One quarter had already received a flu shot (25%) and one third were planning to get one (33%).
The majority, close to 6-in-10, approve of the Liberal government's promise to legalize, tax and regulate marijuana (59%).
The majority favour the legalization of marijuana (53%).
The majority (53%) say they are likely to switch their vote to support a politician or party which promises to legalize marijuana, and fully one third are “very likely” (34%).
In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among 996 Ontario voters, one half approve of the province’s new sex education curriculum (49%) while one third disapprove (34%).
